I just finished reading the US Constitution for the first time. I was never required to read it in school, or possibly I skipped school that week. At least now I have read it and I’m a little surprised at what’s in there. I have my doubts that our politicians have read it. At least they don’t seem to be following it.
It appears to me the federal government has taken over a number of things that were suppose to be left to the states. For example, I couldn’t find any mention of a federal department of education or national health care. And there are things I don’t understand. Like Article I section 8 that says, “Congress can raise and support armies, but no appropriation of money to that use shall be for a longer term than two years.” Wars can’t last more than two years? Then in section 9 there is the part that says, “No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States. “ So how come the president has appointed so many Tsars?
If you haven’t read the constitution or it has been some time since you looked at it I highly recommend you do.
