A Pandemic Dining Experience

Telluride Serves Up New Gondola Dining Cabins As places continue to brainstorm creative ways to drum up restaurant business during the pandemic, the Town of Mountain Village at Telluride has come up with a new plan. They are converting gondola cars into dining cabins for the winter. The “cabins” will be scattered around in a plaza area, complete with lights in the ceiling and under chairs, heating and ventilation systems, cushioned seats, and easy sliding-glass doors. Each can hold 6 people. Diners can then order from 12 nearby restaurants in the village center.
