Alaska Loses to Minnesota??
I Can’t believe it, Alaska is not on top of this?? Travis Gienger, a horticulture teacher from Minnesota, has broken the world record for the heaviest pumpkin with a squash weighing 2,749 pounds. Gienger won the 50th World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-off in Half Moon Bay, California, with a pumpkin that could fill at least 687 pies. He has been growing pumpkins since he was a teenager and has won the Half Moon Bay weigh-off three years in a row. The previous record was set by a grower in Italy in 2021 with a 2,702-pound pumpkin. The record-breaking pumpkin will be on display at Half Moon Bay’s Art and Pumpkin Festival.
